Product Information

The Dolan Pre Cursa, a great starter track frameset. Although the Pre Cursa is often labelled as a starter frame, it has been put through its paces at the highest level winning many competitions such as Track World Cups. With its strong credentials and rock-solid construction, the Pre Cursa is used as a rental bike in Velodromes throughout Europe.

Frame: Dolan Pre Cursa 7005 Aluminium Triple Butted.
Fork: Alpina carbon track specific fork 1 1/8 Int, carbon fibre blades, aluminium steering column 30mm offset.
Seat Post: Alpina aluminium 27.2.
Headset: Alpina 1 1/8th Integral - 36*45.
Colour: Gunmetal Gloss | Black, white decals, matt finish.
Seat Clamp: Alpina 31.9 Aluminium.

Pre Cursa

Bought this as frame+fork module and built up for both road and track use.
Plenty of sizes means not having to compromise on fit. Geometry is fairly standard for track and aggressive for road but the bike handles really well. Changes of direction are handled perfectly.
Frame is plenty stiff and no loss of power is noticed in track sprints or mashing up climbs.
It's nicely made and the smooth welds (and gun metal grey) make the bike beautiful to look at. Paint quality seems pretty good too.
I've ridden plenty of fixed frames on the road and a few track frames on the velodrome (Giant Omnium, Pinarello) but the Dolan is my favourite. There is a reason you frequently see these 'no nonsense' frames at many track meets.
