(NEW) Social Media Associate

Dolan Bikes are looking for an enthusiastic, creative Social Media Associate to join their team. Responsible for creating and developing the online presence of Dolan Bikes, increasing online reach across online platforms. With creative freedom to develop both through imagery and videography, you will become an integral part of the team, creating unique and engaging content.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy
Provide social media updates during key events
Attend key events and create content that drives audience engagement
Identify social media KPIs and track performance
Collaborate with the management team to create relevant content for partners
Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and technologies
Use social media marketing tools that optimise audience engagement
Present improvements and opportunities to the Team Management
Update and manage the website content, including race reports and new product releases

Requirements & Qualifications:

Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
Experience creating high-quality content tailored to individual platforms.
A passion for and understanding of cycling
Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.

Further Information:

40 Hours per week, spread over days Monday - Sunday, dependent on key events in the calendar

Bicycle Mechanic - Full-time

Based in our warehouse in Burscough, L40 8LA, you will be responsible for the building and servicing of custom-built bicycles bought by customers from around the world. Bikes will be from a range of disciplines including but not limited to, Road, Track, Gravel, and Triathlon. Product knowledge from these disciplines would be advantageous to the applicant.

Current bicycle mechanic qualifications, such as Cytech are considered beneficial but are non-essential for this position. In-house Dolan Bikes training will be provided.

Working hours will be Monday – Friday 0830-1700 and Occasional Saturday 0900-1300

A competitive salary will be based upon previous experience, accompanied by the Dolan Bikes benefits scheme.

Sales and Customer Care Consultant - Full Time

Due to the expansion of Dolan Bikes, the position of Sales and Customer Care Consultant, on a full-time basis.
Ideally having previous experience of the cycling industry, in a retail environment would be beneficial, with an understanding of; Road, Track, Gravel and Triathlon cycling disciplines.

Duties will include:

•    Providing excellent levels of customer service
•    Actively pursue all sales opportunities and ensure that the customer is advised on suitable product for their individual needs.
•    Maintain a smart, tidy, safe and well merchandised shop floor.
•    Complete daily and weekly duties ensuring the smooth running of the store
•    Handling special orders, warranty returns, booking in jobs and customer issues.
•    Being aware of current promotions, working with Epos systems.
•    Booking in delivery and stock transfers
•    Play an active role in maintaining an efficient stock management system. Candidates will possess the following skills.
•    You will need to be thorough and be able to pay attention to detail.
•    Excellent communication skills both with customers and working colleagues.
•    Be able to work as part of a dynamic sales team.
•    Have the drive to achieve and the self-motivation to maintain the highest of standards.
•    Ensure a smart appearance and ensure a helpful, approachable attitude is maintained at all times.
•    Have a basic computer literacy.
•    During extreme times you may be required to complete tasks outside of your normal duties/responsibilities or working hours.
•    Any mechanical skills are welcome and will be viewed favourably but not essential for this role.

Bike Fitter

We are currently seeking a  Bike Fitter to join our team based in Burscough, Lancashire. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting bikes to customers of all levels, from beginner to professional.

Ideally having previous experience of the cycling industry, in a retail environment would be beneficial, with an understanding of; Road, Track, Gravel and Triathlon cycling disciplines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting fits and looking after customers who are looking to purchase new bikes. The bike fitter will work closely with the sales team to relay customers requirements and be responsible for looking after customer interactions throughout the process.

Full training will be provided if required and the candidate will work closely with our current bike fitting and sales team.

Experience in bike fitting is preferred but candidates with qualifications in Sports Science will also be considered.

  • Conduct bike fitting sessions using the latest bike fitting tech
  • Help customers looking to order new bikes but also looking for a complete fitting service
  • Assess the rider’s needs and goals, taking into account their physical attributes and riding style
  • Make basic adjustments to the bike, including saddle height, handlebar position, and cleat alignment
  • Work with the sales and customer support team to progress orders from enquiry of sales
  • Maintain good communication with customers in post-fit follow-ups
  • Keep CRM and systems accurate and up-to-date

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Bike Fitter desirable and a strong understanding of bike fit principles and techniques
  • Background in sports science and/or biomechanics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with a CRM
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently with support from a team
  • An interest in cycling and a passion to help customers achieve their cycling goals
