The Dolan GXC, our all-terrain adventure gravel bike.

Designed and engineered with adventure in mind, the Toray T800 Carbon bike build options provide you with a choice of wheelset options, 650b and 700c with tyre clearances up to 50mm and 45mm respectively. Accompanying this, the GXC's gravel-specific dropped chainstay, mudguard and pannier mounts allow you to ride the GXC anywhere.

Following results from a thorough research and development period, involving commuting, gravel and multi-day adventuring, the creation of a lightweight responsive frameset capable of any discipline you choose was achieved.

Available as part of our custom colour range, the GXC truly is designed and built for your chosen discipline.

Great All-Rounder

I bought this frameset in autumn of 2023 and built it up myself with SRAM Force AXS and DT Swiss PR1600 wheels. Delivery to the Netherlands took only a few days including getting through customs. The build was straight-forward. I had a few questions prior to the purchase and one during the build which were all answered quickly by the Dolan support team. I use it mainly as a winter road bike and I plan to use it for bike-packing when the weather improves. One of the key reasons I chose this over similar frames is the ability to fit proper mudguards which are essential for making winter riding enjoyable. To date I've done about 1000 km on it and so far I've been pleasantly surprised. The bike feels very nice to ride. The handling in particular stands out. Cornering, even on the wet and mucky autumn and winter roads, feels very solid. It soaks up road bumps really well, even with the relatively skinny 28mm tyres I'm running.

One thing to note is that it comes with a screw-in bottom bracket with the standard British thread, which was a nice surprise (the web site says press fit).

Bottom bracket type

Which bottom bracket does the GXC carbon frameset have? The description says ”Bottom Bracket: Pressfit 86.5x41mm", but in the FAQ's it says "The BB shell is English Thread 68mm" Can you please confirm which it is. Thanks.
